Valley Health Services
'A very special place" - Valley Health Services is a 160 bed residential Health Care Facility. Valley Health Services opened in 1984 with only 32 beds. The facility is located on the premises of the former Herkimer Memorial Hospital.

A clinically skilled facility, offering IV therapies and specialized wound and skin therapies, Valley Health Services also has an outpatient Physical Therapy Department on its premises, open to the public. Often times, residents are admitted to the nursing facility for Short Term Rehabilitation, enabling them to return to the home after a short term stay.

Of particular interest is the Adult Day Care services provided Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm. A registered nurse directly supervises the individualized care, which includes bathing and meals, as well as a host of recreational and social activities. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies are also offered to the Adult Day Care registrants, enabling them to maintain their living independence.

Valley Health Services employs 260 full and part time positions at the facility.
