SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS

• Herkimer County Microenterprise Grant

Status: Rolling

Description: The objective of the Herkimer County Micro Enterprise Grant Program is to fill a void in helping small existing companies or start-up companies provide new job opportunities, keep existing jobs, and ultimately, broaden the tax base of Herkimer County. The Herkimer County Micro Enterprise Business Grant Program is designed to support small businesses with 5 or less employees, of whom one is the owner of the business. It is the program's intent to assist with technical assistance targeted to small start-up enterprises where such assistance is deemed applicable, and ultimately grant for businesses which fit the established criteria for assistance for those ventures.

Description: Provides aspiring entrepreneurs with startup materials and resources.

• Agriculture & Markets

Status: Closes December 8, 2025
Description: Competitive grant funding is available for implementation projects and education and outreach campaigns that support healthy stream corridors which will benefit humans, the environment and the economy. This funding comes from the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF), as part of the Ocean and Great Lakes Initiative.

• Restaurant Accelerator & Community Fund Grant

Status: Closes October 24, 2025
Description:

From October 1 to October 24, small, independent restaurants across the United States can apply for the chance to join a program designed to spark growth, innovation, and long-term success. Applicants who attend at least three of National ACE’s expert-led virtual Restaurant Accelerator sessions in November will be eligible to receive a $5,000 Community Fund Grant to invest directly in their business.

Who can apply?
The program is open to U.S.-based small, for-profit restaurants that are currently operational and licensed in food preparation and service. While the grant is open to all eligible businesses, we encourage Asian American and Pacific Islander restaurateurs operating in economically disadvantaged areas to apply.
