DikinDurt Distillery has opened as the first distillery in Herkimer County. We're proud to be the first to bring local moonshine to the Mohawk Valley area. Our Mohawk Valley Moonshine is handcrafted with New York State grown grains and distilled in the hills of the Mohawk Valley. Starting with a custom 100-gallon copper still built from a real Kentucky moonshiner we developed 7 varieties of moonshine and a Straight Bourbon Whiskey. We have grown into a new tasting room located at 7447 Main St. in Newport, NY where we will be crafting spirits with a new 400-gallon copper still. We continue to produce all natural spirits with fruit infused berry flavors along with spirits rested on oak finished with local honey or maple syrup for a sweet smooth smoky flavor.
Our Mohawk Valley Moonshine is available through local liquor stores and can be found on the shelves of many local bars and pubs if you would like to try a taste. See our locations page for a list of where you can find Mohawk Valley Moonshine in stock.

Open to the public, patrons will have the choice of enjoying a variety of local wines through a tasting, glass, or bottle in our uniquely appointed, Renaissance-themed wine room, complete with knight in shining amour!
Featuring two nearby wineries, visitors will have the pleasure of sampling white and red, from dry to sweet, carefully chosen bottles from Prospect Falls Winery and Montezuma Winery. To pair with these wines, tantalizing grazing plates can be purchased, as well as scrumptious chicken salad served as a salad or sandwich garnished with Barry's famous bacon!
